What is Acupuncture?

Dr. Valentin’s philosophy is that optimal health and performance can be attained through the proper balance of exercise, nutrition, and care of the body’s framework (skeleton).

In Acupuncture, good health depends on good energy entering the body (clean air, water, food) and toxins (waste, carbon dioxide) leaving the body and is supported by the energy you were born with (genetics). When the energy is imbalanced or the flow interrupted, an acupuncturist stimulates the body’s natural healing properties to respond.

Acupuncture can help:

Pain including headaches, migraines, joint pain, earaches, chronic illnesses, athletic and work-related injuries;

Emotional stress, insomnia, anxiety, memory loss, depression, addictions;

Recovery from illness, post-surgery, and side-effects of opioids, cancer and AIDS treatments;

Sexual problems, infertility, irregular menses, erectile dysfunction, libido, urinary issues;

Immune disorders, digestive issues, detoxifying, cold and flu prevention, and recovery;

Respiratory issues, cough, COPD, asthma, and bronchitis to name a few.

Our focus at Active Wellness is on each individual patient to receive unique care specific to their individual needs.   After treating the patient, we educate them in rehabilitation, nutrition, and exercise.  Our ultimate goal for our patients is to gain the opportunity and knowledge they need to adopt a wellness philosophy of health and share their experience with others.

Acupuncture sessions are less than 60 minutes with exam and about 20 minutes for follow up visits.
