Acupuncture
Acupuncture has developed over the centuries as one of the many tools of Traditional Chinese Medicine. It involves inserting thin needles into different parts of the body to stimulate the body’s own healing factor. This healing energy is called Qi, pronounced: “CHEE”. An acupuncturist stimulates this Qi which heals us, helps us grow and keeps us young.
Qi, like a gyroscope, has many flowing parts that share the same characteristics of water or electricity. Like water, its flow can be diverted or in the sense of electricity, its flow can be conducted to heal the body using acupuncture points. In Acupuncture, good health depends on good Qi entering the body (clean air, water, food) and toxins or bad Qi (waste, carbon dioxide) leaving the body. When this energy is imbalanced or its flow is interrupted, it results in ill health or weak Qi.
Dr. Valentin’s philosophy: Optimal health and performance is reached when proper balance of exercise, nutrition, and detoxification is attained.
Acupuncture sessions are less than 60 minutes with exam and about 30 minutes for follow up visits.

May help women dealing with infertility
Depending on the presumed causes, we administer acupuncture to women before and after they undergo in-vitro fertilization. Acupuncture treatments decrease uterine contractions (which can cause the IVF to fail). Also, it can increase blood flow to the uterus, which may help the embryo take.

Many patients who use acupuncture to improve their overall well-being use it as a preventative health measure. It boosts your immune system and helps people in stress to continue with their work and enjoy life.
